Teen Charged In Monday Crash
A Loretto teen was issued charges in connection with a Monday morning crash in which she and four other individuals sustained injury.
Chandler Norwood, age 18, was charged with reckless driving, failure to exercise due care and failure to maintain a lane of travel.
The crash occurred around 7:10 a.m. on U.S. Highway 43 South in Loretto. Reports filed through the Tennessee Highway Patrol indicate that Norwood was southbound in a 2009 Ford Mustang when he veered into the northbound lane, striking a 2006 Nissan Altima driven by William Beckman, age 83. Both drivers sustained injury along with passengers Anna Beckman, 83, Henry Beckman, 81, and Jewell Beckman, 81.
All five individuals were transported to Crockett Hospital for medical attention.
